I started Karate in 1969 in Toulouse with a teacher, student of Master Murakami in who’s dojo I then was lucky to train, arrived in Paris in 1972.

I then became in 1980 treasurer of Murakami-Kai, and in 1984 treasurer of Shotokai France. When Master Murakami died in 1987, the general feeling among his close students was that the work undertaken could not be in any way given up and that everyone’s duty was to help in doing so within their own level of competence.

I became president of Shotokai France in 1988, then president of Karate Do Shotokai Europe in 2001. I think that the president, first and foremost, guarantees the values on which our group is based: opening, solidarity, mutual respect, support for the essential principles of Karate-Do.

I started Karate in 1972 with an assistant of Master Murakami in the Paris suburbs. I joined the Mercoeur dojo in 1974 where the Master was teaching.

Assistant of Master Murakami since 1980, I succeeded him after his death in 1987 as technical director of the Shotokai France association. I was, at an administrative level, secretary of the Murakami-Kai association and the Master’s main secretary, vice-president and president of the Shotokai France association after his death.

At the same time from 1978 until his death, I did Aikido with Master Itsuo Tsuda, direct student of Master Ueshiba. Since 1990 I learned and taught Tai Ji Chuan in the Zen Zong way of Master Wang Fu Lai. I started that same year Da Chen Chuan that I did with Masters Li-Chen-Yu, Yu Yon and Guo of whom I was the assistant for a few years. I discovered in 1992 lai Jutsu, Ken Jutsu and Jiu Jutsu with Master Kuroda.

As technical director of the Shotokai Europe association, my mission is to run courses in France and in Switzerland, a dozen weekends, two weeks in Summer and a week at Christmas. These allow us to keep a certain technical unity in the management of the KDSE’s rank committee.

I will be happy to answer, on this web site, any technical (or else) questions that you may ask me.
